It’s never really the BEST idea, certainly, to make one’s self a target for the enemy, that’s sure true, Roger... BUT at some point we are all going to have to draw our line in the sand (or concrete, for a preference) and Neil’s reached that point, FOR HIM. He has, not unreasonably (for him), declared his independence from and of FedGov. He has also declared that he will NOT fire the first shots. I support him in that move, especially with the caveat that he will not shoot first.

It’s important to put these people on notice, especially the “law” enforcement agencies. The BATFags, the FEEBS and the drug cops (none of whom can, that I can see, justify their jobs constitutionally, by the way) ALL have pretty sorry records as far as violating even the most BASIC Constitutional guarantees of liberty. And in the two most infamous cases of recent history, it was the BATFags that started the dance and the Feebs that finished doing the dirty deeds. Of course I speak of Ruby Ridge and Waco, some of the most vile OPEN abuses of power ever in this nation. And it’s the DEA that goes after doctors for “over-prescribing” certain drugs, I guess because it’s a rare doctor that will shoot a “cop”... In that respect, these creeps are not unlike the cops in the city I live in. We’re facing a city government going bankrupt and we have to rein in the outrageous salaries our “protectors” get, so our fearless boys in blue have essentially advertised that there’s little to no police presence in town, INVITING all the thugs and gangbangers from miles around to come here and run rampant. We’ve had NUMEROUS murders, beatings and serious violent crime. So what do the boys in blue do? Why, they man up their “DUI” (money-machine) check points and also make the front page of the paper for busting hookers and their Johns. Presumably, since their avowed purpose in life is to make it home safely at day’s end, they choose targets that are NOT known for putting up any resistance. Like many of the Fed Cops, at heart they are cowards. They and the vast majority of said Fed Cops would sh!t themselves if they came upon serious resistance. Which is likely to happen one day when they try enforcing the wrong edicts on the wrong people.

Then CW II is going to kick off and we will be on that rollercoaster ride for the indefinite future. What a fun thing to look forward to, huh? Because, as Neil believes, as I believe, as many of us here and at other spots throughout the country believe, WE WILL NO LONGER ACCEPT ANY MORE WACOs, ANY MORE KATRINAs, ANY MORE RUBY RIDGES. We won’t have a Fort Sumter, we WILL have the moral high ground. And for those of us who have, time and again, sworn that oath to protect and defend the Constitution for the United States, WE WILL UPHOLD THAT OATH. For I mean to see our Constitution RESTORED to its rightful place in MY lifetime, so that my sons and my grandkids won’t have it to do.

Roger, perhaps Neil phrased things in a manner that you would prefer he didn’t, but that doesn’t take away the validity of what he said, nor does it really put him at odds with any FedGov employee who is not an armed “enforcer” of whatever stripe.

I think it’s time to start re-reading “Unintended Consequences” (by John Ross) once again. Or maybe read the published parts of “Absolved” by Mike Vanderboegh, which can be linked from his http://sipseystreetirregulars.blogspot.com site. I just hope he can get it finished and published so I can get my copy before the balloon really does go up!

Best to you, my friend,

DC Wright

DC, I agree with much of you stated and disagree about other points.

Guess, my bottom line was that I was hoping Neil would be a leader in States' Rights efforts as mentioned above. He is probably just venting, but knowing the Fedgov and their capabilities, he is now a real target. Which means he has lost any leadership ability if STATE NULLIFICATION or the various STATE LAWSUITS don't prevail.

I seriously don't know what to do if States' Rights don't prevail. I know what I'd be willing to do, but I would require ground leadership. As a Swabbie, I have none. Then again, as Neil being a Swabbie, he has none either. If the SHTF, it's going to be up to Marines and Army infantry to lead the way.

Other than supporting States' Rights, I am at a complete lost. There will be no Lexington or Concord. Life is much more complicated now. I'm truly at a lost if State's Rights are not the way back. Neil thinks I've given up. I haven't and never will, but what if the SHTF? Feel free to Freepmail me. I've always respected your opinion. Thanks for the reply. Best to you, Marine ANV
