Those are our weapons.
As your post points out if we use those same violent leftist tactics we won't be praised by the media like they do their cohorts when they use that same violence
MSM and political correctness are enablers of hate and violence against conservatives.
The defense to this is simple. Most of these losers do not have cars. Hold the event at a venue that is not serviced by public transit and they can't get there.
I've actually done this myself. We had a conservative leader touring Ontario. The day before our event he was confronted by welfare louts in a downtown venue in another city. Since he was scheduled to appear in my town the next day the local newspaper had a front page story predicting "of course there will be demonstrations here". I called and asked if the writer could give me some stock tips because he could obviously predict the future. We had the rally outside of town and it was very, very well attended. Not a demonstrator in sight.
I had a good time talking to the editor the next day, asking him how the demonstration went. He didn't have much to say, the swine.
March 24, 2010, 9:19 AM WELCOME TO CANADA! - FULL REPORT -- WITH PICTURES! Ann Coulter Riot in Ottawa
They had run into some trouble a while back:
Free Dominion and Mark and Connie Fournier along with several contributors to the site are the subject of defamation lawsuits by human rights lawyer Richard Warman and political activist Warren Kinsella. In March 2009 the Fourniers were ordered by an Ontario Superior Court judge to turn over information about eight anonymous posters to the site in relation to the Warman lawsuit and to pay $5,000 in court costs to the plaintiff. The Fourniers have indicated that they will likely comply with the ruling rather than appeal.[6] In early 2008, the website was sold to Liberty News Service in Panama.Basing in Panama reduces vulnerability to lawfare.
Ann Coulter riot in Ottawa: part twoUPDATE: Welcome, AnnCoulter.com readers!
Come for the hate speech, stay for the naughty pinups (NSFW)!
If you're new, here's who I am.

Original post HERE about last night's events.
Now, Day Two begins...
It's vital to bear in mind that, as the dust cleared, it became clear that there were not "2000 protesters", which, it seems to me, is the expression Ann Coulter used when contacting Drudge via cellphone.
It sounds more like there were "2000 people" in the general vicinity, not protesters.
Since Coulter was in a holding room or somesuch before the speech, it is likely that she was getting this information from someone else, who was probably just as confused as everyone else under the circumstances. It's hard to talk or hear over a fire alarm.
The "2000" figure is going to be the Left's talking point, as they try to paint this event as a publicity stunt or whathaveyou.

Report on the Ann Coulter riot from the National Post, with comments from both sides.
An eyewitness report from blogger Nick Milne, who isn't a big fan of Ann Coulter but went to her talk anyhow:
I arrived at Marion Hall or, more accurately, sort of near it at about 6:30PM. The line was already at least several hundred people long, and more were arriving every minute. Police estimates (yes, the police were eventually involved; read on) put the final crowd size at about 2,000, but at that early stage there were still enough people to create a line that snaked the equivalent of several city blocks around another university building. The front of the line and the people in charge of everything could not be seen. This surely contributed to what ended up happening.
I fell into conversation with those in front of and behind me in the line, and, though feelings were generally upbeat pretty much everyone I talked to said they were there to see what all the fuss was about there were ominous rumours circulating that attendees had to sign up for the event in advance, even if it was free for U of O students. Most of the people in the line (one event organizer with whom I briefly spoke but it at about 70%) had not registered, and indeed had no idea that they were supposed to. Had the event organizers been permitted to advertise the event properly in the area most frequented by students this immediate and unresolvable problem may never have occurred. As it was, the line continued to grow anyway, though now under a cloud of anxious uncertainty.
(...)
I hoped Calgary, Alberta is ready. After all a few dozen activists and a fire alarm may stall her once again. It will be interesting.
Someone at the University should have been better prepared, IMHO.
The last time the two countries fought was in 1812. America invaded Canada, and was fought to a standstill. It was then forced to disgorge. So unless you're thinking of some hockey game, the answer to your question has got to be "no".
The struggle just to exist and keep warm in the north and eat makes for historic novels. Who with any commonsense would wish to carry this on? Destruction of the habitat on both sides of our/their St Mary's River. One shivers to think of the brutal winter with stores and homes burnt. This you will know regarding the tragedy of war. Some epic battles on both sides. Sir Isaac Brock was killed by the American forces. His name enshrined today. The British were instrumental with the main armies.
Americans say THEY won. Canadians say THEY won. The British say IT WAS A DRAW. I will go with the latter. LOL
Exactly as I expected.
At some point, it won’t be enough to just go into defensive lawfare mode . . .
I'm sorry, I was not referring to any recent or centuries old conflict between the United States and canada. I was merely demonstrating to the expanding inconseqentiality of canada. The further shrinking of canada's significance is certain as they continue to limit speech.
THis really isn't endearing her to the Canadian gov't. :-)
Ann! YOU Rock! But remain vigilant, because idiots are idiots everywhere, and you know somewhere out there an idiot would think that hurting you is acceptable.
[Thats just brilliant, potlatch! And oh so funny!]
It’s lovely compliments, like yours, that I love to get!
Thank you.
Outside the hall, Sameena Topan, 26, a conflict studies and human rights major at the U of O.
Perhaps it has something to do with their "majors"?
What are the chances they are both Janeane Garofalo look-a-likes?
Shhhhhh.
LoL!
