When will there be a conservative party in the United States? Were the Whigs the end of that?

There is a Conservative Party already. But like most it will never gain traction. It will be a detractor. I understand the frustration, however, returning our party to its’ basics is the solution, not jumping ship when things are rough. Those that are registering as Independents, Libertarians, or Conservatives are only doing “feel good” actions. There are two parties. Period.

Both parties are owned. Neither party is the solution.

And they have rigged the political system that you only really have two choices, both evil, both of which are impoverishing and destroying what used to be the the American middle class.

Whigs were not conservative but wanted all kinds of public works, Henry Clay and Abraham Lincoln style. They just never thought about the liberalism/socialism that so entices the American people in 2010.
