Just because you say it won’t be repealed doesn’t make it so.
The statists on both sides of the political aisle bitched and moaned for 100 years. And they got this piece of garbage passed by THREE VOTES.
So now I am supposed to just lay back and ACCEPT this rape? Not a chance, bub.
And I don’t think I’m alone.
This isn’t over.
When it is repealed, then I will believe it. Until then I believe it will stand.
All it takes is one. Was it Constitutional? I don’t believe so, but my opinion don’t matter. For that matter, if my opinion counted for anything, obama would not be in the WhiteHouse.
What else are you going to do?
Whether it is over or not remains yet to be seen. But, until it is undone, it is done.
Throughout the debate over Obamacare there have been two main groups of people strongly against it.
On the one hand there are the small-goverment, anti-statist types who don’t want the state dictating health care policy and who fear yet another enormous entitlement bankrupting the government. (These people include the Tea Partiers and most of us here at FR.)
On the other hand there are the greedy geezers who just love getting their free Medicare goodies from the government and don’t want their handouts cut. These Medicare recipients understand that if everyone else gets on the gravy train then cost cutting will necessarily come at their expense. They know they got a good going by having young workers pay for their health care and they don’t want it to stop.
As they say, politics makes strange bedfellows.
This statement by Cornyn indicates he thinks the GOP should ignore the anti-statists and instead pander to those who want to keep all their free government-mandated goodies (including those just created by Obamacare) without having to pay for them.
Digusting indeed!
I think your opinion matters. We must stay in the fight.
Thank God for people like Bill McCollum, who aren’t just saying, “Well, the Congress spoke and Hussein signed it. The end.”
Right?
Let’s stay focused on fixing the problem, not just hoping for more Vaseline.
I was just looking at reality. I will not go into one of obama’s camps.
B.S. He thought he could say that to the other side and get away with it.
Good news. I was about to throw him overboard with KBH.
Texas needs to be at the forefront of the fight to kill Obamacare, and for that, we need every elected legislator and public official to be on the same page.
