Watch Out, PhRMA (SUCKERS!)
National Review Online The Corner ^ | March 23, 2010 | Robert Costa

With Obamacare now law, PhRMA, it seems, can breathe a sigh of relief. Their $80 billion deal with the Obama administration held. Not so fast, says Sen. Byron Dorgan (D., N.D.). He tells NRO that he “intends” to offer an amendment in the near future to allow prescription-drug imports. “It became clear that I didn't have the votes on the health-care reform bill, but there are not any agreements beyond that.”

They should be happy. With the Federal govt now in charge of health care and the FDA, new drugs will be rushed to market before thorough testing. Of course, when the pharmas get sued, the gov't will just taken them over too.

Its a scary thing that the gov't now controls the FDA and health care.

Honestly, I would like to see some of these drug companies nationalized to provide cheap drugs to the nations layabouts. The irony would be too wonderful.

Lie with the dogs, better be ready for fleas.

And don’t forget they now control all educational loans too. Don’t be a Republican and expect to see your kid get a loan. She/he will have to sing the Party line to get a loan. Or be a minority. Whitey need not apply.

Boring. Another ignorant National Review splurge.

The Public Option was not there as they promised. Now they are confronted by the reality the bill they opposed actually was written by and funded by the business interests they literally idolize.

Their business cultism is becoming extreme, or they are losing their wits to hide it. How is drug importation not a good conservative issue?

And this guy literally has no idea what he’s talking about on the “80 billion”

“And don’t forget they now control all educational loans too.”

It’s our money, the government’s money.

Banks can loan students all they want.

It was the only good thing in the bill.

Feels great. Why shouldn’t it? They paid for it too.

They'll be around for another bite, and you guys will be the apple. You are just a few demagogic speeches away from tight price controls, reimportation, and all of your drug formulas going Public Domain in 18 months.

Same with receiving medical treatments.
