I wouldnt say freepers ‘trusted’ him. I would say they were hopeful given his aggressive statements. Trusting anyone elected to Washington DC is like that “a sucker born any minute” saying. Politics and power guide them all to one degree or another.
Yes you are right...never trust a politician....and keep one eye open always. But Stupak surely harmed himself in this...but like most they know it will pass.
