Horse puckey. First, there haven't been "many" non-violent revolutions. And second, those there have been were dependent on the rulers valuing the lives of the rebels more than their own governance.

I think that the history of the last half century belies your comment. The Soviet Union and the Warsaw bloc collapsed without a single shot being fired, the Marco’s in the Phillipines, the Duvaleigh (sp?)’s in Haiti, the Orange revolution, the Green revolution, need I name more?

I don’t disagree with you, but I don’t think that we face an armed insurrection in the US any time soon, thank God. What the Dems face is a whoopin at the ballot box. That is precisely because the Dems used their power and they have over-reached.
