Sorry - was so tired and had the article in my clipboard, so I just pasted it into a post. I will now post as a separate thread. The link is:
Thanks a bunch. I made up an email of this article last night, and have been waiting for the source URL so I can send it.
Good show for putting up the thread, as well.
I’m talking about local TV affiliate stations, which are not the same thing as the main broadcasters.
I watched our local news last night, I forget if it was the ABC or the CBS affiliate. They talked about what the deathcare bill meant for the individual, and it wasn’t all good. They talked about the goodies that are frontloaded into the bill and the fact that most of the other stuff doesn’t come for four years because of the cost, then they talked about the cost.
My point is that local news and mid and small town papers can be a good source for spreading the truth. Many of them aren’t nearly as unwilling as the media “giants” to print unbiased information.
So, no, I don’t jest. Besides, what does it hurt to send it to them? If one out of ten prints or reports on it, and that station or paper reaches 50,000 people, that 50,000 more who then know about it can and may tell other people. As more talk about it and inquire of their local media why they aren’t reporting on that aspect of the deathcare legislation story, some of those outlets will pick up the story.
Zach’s a Dem?
Nope. Conservative Republican.
