Israel defies Obama over Jerusalem settlements
Times Online ^ | March 23, 2010 | Richard Beeston

Israel will defy American pressure to halt the construction of controversial Jewish housing in Arab east Jerusalem, when President Obama meets Binyamin Netanyahu, Israel’s Prime Minister, in the White House today.

Fresh from his historic victory to reform American healthcare, the US leader is to be confronted, within hours, with a foreign policy crisis. This time Mr Obama must resolve the worst breakdown in relations in decades between America and its closest regional ally, Israel, and try to get the Arab-Israeli peace process moving again.

But any hopes of a compromise were dashed yesterday when Nir Barkat, the Mayor of Jerusalem, insisted that Jewish settlements would go ahead in spite of US objections.

Israel announced a 1,600-home plan in Ramat Shlomo during a peace mission by Joe Biden.

HIllary Clinton is to reassure Binyamin Netanyahu that the Obama Administration remains "rock solid" in its commitment to Israel's security.

Uncle Bibi knows better NOT to trust Zero the antichrist. He is jeopardizing Israel's security by aiding and abbeting Tehran.

This time, there will be no guarantees.

With regards to the Ramat Shlomo settlement project, I'd say go ahead. Build 10,000 apartments if they like. After all, East Jerusalem is technically part of Eretz Israel.

Defy? You can’t defy someone who is not your boss or an authority over you. Bad writing.

[Obama will] try to get the Arab-Israeli peace process moving again.

"Peace process"? ..."again."

Hallucinations.

Imagine how Bibi would have reacted to the health care “debate” yesterday.

And, what a debate it was! All they do, on both sides of the aisle, is give sound bite speeches. There is no “real” debating anymore.

Two comments. 1. Barf -- here comes the messiah to solve the world's problems. Never mind the fact that the current crisis is his fault.

2. Most Jews do not believe in the messiah. And given what he orchestrated in the Health Care take over, the Jews know that the messiah is not to be trusted.

These are not “settlements.” Israel is building Jewish homes in a Jewish neighborhood in Israel. The arabs did not object one bit until Obama invented a controversy.

Good for them. In the past the Israel's have given 95% of what the muzzys wanted and had the rags walk away from the table.
The obamass needs to read a little history and figure some things out.
The first thing on that list is that others, read that as most everyone else, is much better qualified at dealing with these terrorists.
I thought maybe he would learn some things but once a muzzy always a muzzy. He has no intention of changing his alliances.

Same thing applies to Obama's globalist elite handlers. Remember, he's their frontman, and he is directed to take the political heat while they stay in power behind the scenes lurking in the shadows.

The Israeli Jews know far better than their American counterparts about the False Messiah. They read their Bible prophecies right.

Israel does not need the support of any country. It may well be that our own survival as a nation ( not as individual believers) requires making a certain choice that would seem contrarion. The stage is being set.

Regardless of whether we are right or wrong the clock is ticking.

No, but he sure will put up a smoke and mirror act to state otherwise.

Good for Israel to defy the BHO Administration on the settlements. It’s their land and they are free to build on it and it is none of the BHO Administration’s business.

0bama cannot successfully blackmail Israelis and Netanyahu. In fact, this type of blackmail will backfire. 0bama’s naked attempt to weaken or topple Netanyahu’s government will make Netanyahu stronger and zero even less popular in Israel. Israel’s left can only choose to either appease 0bama or continue to shut up and give tacit support to the current regime.
Israel stay strong.

How right you are. The D's get up and lie and the R's never respond. It was the most boring debate I've ever watched.
