You were saying ...

So you trust the current House and Senate that tomorrow could amend the Constitution against the will of the States and the people but you do not trust the States to do the same?

I trust the process that has worked from 1795 to the present, without fail -- as compared to -- an unknown process that has never worked once (since it's never been done)..., and that process in which the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States has reservations as to whether it can be limited ... doncha know... :-)

I guess the Atty. Generals who have or will file against health care should just stand down then. After all, we can rely on Congress to do everything right for us.

Those Attorney Generals can use a process that has been used over and over again, and take a case to the Supreme Court and have them rule on the Constitutionality of a piece of legislation. There's no problem in that, as that's a very well used and known process and presents no problems.

Worked well for us? Worked well, you’ve got to be kidding me.

The 16th Amendment meant originally to tax only the 1% of the very rich of the country at 2% has now extended to literally taxing the very air we breath if Grahamhole etc gets his way. Repeal? We can’t get Congress to make tax cuts permanent!

The 17th has led to Senators who literally voted in lock step to bankrupt their OWN States and put the citizens of their States out of work by passing what they know is an unconstitutional bill.

The first time Americans realized they had amended the Constitution wrongly was the 18th and they were able to correct that mistake using the voting booth.

It took 13 years and the development of organized crime in this country but we got rid of the prohibition on alcohol.

The 21St didn’t get rid of the over reaching powers the Feds took upon themselves to enforce prohibition. It didn’t rid us of the Commerce Clause being used to regulate everything and anything the Fed’s decide must be regulated.

I believe the people of the States will vote in their best interests while those in DC have proven over and over to only vote in their best interest. We can not leave it up to Congress to reign in their own power. We have a Court that can’t be depended on either (Kelo ring a bell?)

If we do not do it ourselves, we are going to be led further and further down the path until we are under complete and total dictatorial rule.
