I agree.
If it ain’t broke, don’t “fix it”.
And it ain’t broke!
Oh it’s broke~!!!!!!
We’ve got to get rid of the 16th ad 17th Amendment if nothing else.
I don’t think any would argue that the Bill of Rights would be removed (ok, some idiot anti-NRA goon would say get rid of the 2nd but is 3/4 of the States going to pass that?) fact is Amendments made after the BOR have allowed our rights to be stripped every single time Congress convenes.
I see nothing wrong with using the very Constitution the Framers wrote for us to protect States rights and our rights against a Federal Government that has grown tyrannical and completely out of control.
Seriously Pat, read back on this thread about the process - I’ve learned a great deal and had some beliefs from what I had always heard about a “Constitutional Convention” completely removed now by opinion but by facts presented. A big one that has been removed is the false premise that the States proposing Amendments would somehow allow all these Amendments to be introduced and ratified - with basically no controls.
Not so at all.
In fact, in order to even call for the Convention, Congress must have received from 2/3 of the States the proposed Amendments to be discussed, it’s limited to that specifically.
