“I would call Michigan Senators Levin and Stabenow, but I cant think of any more certain way to waste five minutes of my time. Might as well dig the lint out of my navel.”
You’re right, don’t bother calling them (unless you have extra time to waste). We need to focus now on the Senate Republicans.
I fear that they are getting cold feet about dragging out the reconciliation fight. After all the tough talk about adding endless amendments and making the process drag out for months, there is now a story at the Hill that they don’t know if they’ll be able to stop it:

This is an outrage! After all we’ve been through to try to kill this thing, the idea that the Senate Repubs would just roll over and play dead is incomprehensible. Do they not realize that the American people are on their side?
They need to grind the Senate to a halt if they have to and keep this issue in the front of the news till election day.
So I think we need to be calling the offices of all the GOP Senate leaders and make it clear to them that we EXPECT them to fight this thing as much as they pledged to. Anything short of that will be betrayal.
I’m curious to know what political party you belong to, Dio.
Well, it appears now that his election made no difference at all.
But Nelson could fool the Cornhuskers were he to run again, which I don’t think he will.
Agreed. Some scream “NO RINOS!” out of one side of their mouths, then scream “You work for US!” and “Vote as your constituents tell you” out of the other side. It doesn’t work both ways.
Brown is doing what Mass sent him there to do. We have to respect that.
