Where are we? Good question, and it is the reason that every March for decades we have presented the results of our solicitation of publishers for sales figures for their top books from the previous year.
We all love numbers. Agents, marketing departments, sales folk, funders—not to mention authors and their accountants—all depend on them. They tell us what happened and are as good as anything else as predictors of what might be.
Looking at the compilation of bestseller numbers from 2009 confirms what publishers said throughout 2009 and even into 2010—that bestsellers don't sell in the numbers that they did in the past. And the numbers are rich with anecdotal surprises and bald truths. In fiction, for example, Lisa See outsold John Sandford and John Irving and Wally Lamb; she sold as many as Margaret Atwood and E.L. Doctorow put together. Dan Brown “only” sold 5.5 million copies, but perhaps four million (an estimate) more than his nearest competitor, our perennial Grisham. In nonfiction, can it be that Dick Morris almost outsold Chesley Sullenberger? (Yes.) And did Sarah Palin really outsell Ted Kennedy 3-1? You betcha.

So in effect, Sarah Palin had the second best selling book for the whole of 2009, outsold only by “The Lost Symbol: A Novel” by Dan Brown. Not bad at all.
Especially considering it was only launched in the fourth quarter!
It did have pre-sales but was only released Nov 17. Go Sarah!

I think that’s it. They are progressives allright. They are posing as conservatives to turn conservatives against the GOP so that their democrats/socialism triumphs.
I am a Palin supporter and I don’t need any progressives to turn me against the GOP. The GOP does not need any help with that. Unless and until the GOP throws out the old guard that helped get us in this mess, they won’t be getting my vote.

The media slandered Republicans every second of every single day for 8 years from thousands of media outlets, every newspaper, every TV in every American’s living room.
The trouble is most government educated people don't have the background to understand what the media did to them(brainwashed them) and how the media slandered republicans.
For example the media called “spending “ for 2 wars ,the media made that out to be “government spending” or “Republicans increasing government spending”
1. spending for 2 wars may show an increase in the dollar value but that was not really “republicans increasing government spending” or “republicans growing government” and the media used this to turn conservatives against the GOP
2.Ditto for inflation. Inflation does not equal increases in government spending but the media used the dollar value to say “Republicans greatly increasing government spending”
when the government hadn't grown but just the value of the dollar had decreased so something cost 2 trillion after 10 years instead of 1 trillion but it was the same size. But the media went crazy “oh look at that Bush increased government spending (government size) by $1 trillion dollars in 8 years” blah blah blah more lies. yet most people just see that and don't know the media is not taking inflation, and spending for wars, and population growth into account just to make Republicans out to be the party of big government so that conservatives would turn against the GOP>
ok i have about 3 to 100 other explanations about what the media was doing but of course brainwashed people won't believe reason or don't understand how inflation , wars etc does not equal government growing.
