On Thursday March 18th I attended the health care bill protest held in front of Congressmans Boswells office on Locust street in Des Moines.
The protest began at 12:30 and as people started showing up to line both sides of the street to protest for and against the bill, workers from Organizing for America were there with a clipboard marking off who was there and placing them in different locations. For those of you unaware, Organizing for America is the successor organization to Obama for America, building on the movement that elected President Obama by empowering communities across the country to bring about an agenda of change. Taken directly from their site. Volunteers showed up on both sides chanting, holding signs, and answering questions from the media. There were about 100 protestors, but I did not count. What I did notice was that there were more people there against the bill than were there in favor of it.

I would like a little more verification than this article gives before I get too hot about it.
Hahahahahaha
indignation and protest done by clipboard!!!!!!!!
It’s more of a joke, actually. But SEIU was there in full force. The reason we find it funny is because in early December Boswell touted 1.5 billion spent to create 5336 jobs, then he claims at end of year, 12/31, 1.5 billion spent for something like 9400 jobs, pretty much all of which were public sector jobs. Maybe the author didn’t write it as a joke, but I certainly look at it that way because the only types of jobs Boswell can create are the ones we don’t need.
Rent-a-mob is a time honored tactic of the left. Why should it be any different in Iowa?
My comment was regarding the sloppy journalism——
Also, we don’t need to believe every thing we read or hear, especially today as emotions are running so high.
Maybe a collective breath while we allow the dust to settle would be in order. Then, our side should start looking for ways to stop as much as can be stopped of this odious bill and work to change that which cannot be stopped.
