Hoyer: Not at 216 yet
Countering some of the "we've got it" optimism of several colleagues, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer seems to be saying that Democrats do not yet have the 216 votes they need to pass health care reform.
"Were going to get those 216 votes because we believe that they understand that Americans want health care reform by an overwhelming majority," Hoyer said on NBC's "Meet the Press."
When host David Gregory asked Hoyer if he has the votes now, the Maryland Democrat said: "I think were going to have 216 when the roll is called, yes."
Gregory: "But not yet? You're not nailed down, a few behind?"
Hoyer: "There are still members looking at it, trying to make up their minds, we think 216 plus votes when we call the roll.
People love their insipid TV reality shows and meaningless ball games. Serfdom and control come through the TV. Changing channels and turning it off does not fix it. Cancelling service enmasse is the only way. People will chose serfdom.
Does anyone have a similar pic of a lightening bolt hitting the Capital building?

These people are DELUSIONAL!
It’s all a part of the dog and pony Communist show.

“They are lying. Stupak is gonna cave.”
Yep
They are lying.
“Thats what Geraldine Ferraro (sp?) said on Fox...Pelosi would not call a vote unless she knew 100% that she had the votes.”
Which is exactly why Reid’s statement “I think were going to have 216 when the roll is called” is completely meaningless. By definition, they will have 216 votes when the roll is called, since they wouldn’t be calling it otherwise. They could be 40 votes short and his statement would be just as true. The ISSUE is whether they have 216 votes to call the roll today—a question he conveniently ducked.
It's not about medicine. It's all about POWER AND SOCIALISM.
Like the first stimulus vote? We are not dealing with a band of Mensa folks here, she is a drug addled, shaker. The woman takes a handful of pills every morning(fact). Could she have the votes? sure, and I think she was downright cocky yesterday AM, but since then, since she hung herself out there, she has to vote now. Also Ferraro said Coakley was a done deal in Mass, even when te polls showed her losing, once a loser always a loser. Fritz and T*ts.1984..DONE DEAL!
“It is the reason why Idaho and Virginia have passed legislation blocking federal health care from being illegally imposed on the citizens of those states by reasserting their 10th Amendment rights and 34 other states considering similar legislation! “
1) Virginia
2) Idaho
3) Arizona (me)

Obama will reverse the Order after it passes.
Fools all.
We have a new ballgame boys and girls...
I just watched Fox News Sunday and learned that the “deem and pass” or “slaughter rule” is dead, and the Dhimmies have agreed to an up or down vote on the Senate Bill itself, the one Peloski herself was quoted last week saying she was so glad her members did not have to vote on, because it is full of the arm-twisting deals Harry Reid had to put in to get his troops to vote for it.
I am pretty certain that means the House will also have a direct up or down vote on the “reconciliation” package of “fixes” as well, that includes all of the arm-twisting deals that Madam Shpeaker had to include for her flock.
I think this is a best-case scenario for the Taxpayers, who are still raising so much hell that you cannot place a phonecall out on Capitol Hill. John Cornyn is vowing to expose every single special deal that the House makes, and is telling the House Dhimmies to be very, very careful about what they vote to approve, because it will not pass in the Senate.
I’m not saying that we have a slam dunk by any means, but it is a new ballgame this morning kids, so I give it 60/40 odds this morning that Peloski will delay that vote rather than chance it being voted down all together. If this is killed in the House, that is the end of the ballgame for Premier Hussein and the Dhimmies this Fall. They have painted themselves into a corner on this and it serves them right that there is no safe way out.
I would have agreed with this prior to the TARP vote last year that failed and sent the stock market off a cliff.
