Cantor and Boehner are actually IN the chamber, I’d trust what they say. And Cantor went through this yesterday. All 178 Republicans are NO votes (including Cao). The math comes down to how many DEM NO votes Pelosi can switch, and there have NOT been that many. That leaves the Stupak group of 6 or 7 who will probably decide this, and if they mean what they say, that’s what Boehner & Cantor are looking at. Despie all The Red Queen Pelosi’s rhetoric, she needs the Stupak group to cement this. They may get it anyway with a blizzard of last minute bribes - or they may not. But she needs the Stupak Group to know it’s a done deal.
All of the full court press by the State Run Media reciting the Dems spin is meant to dispirit opponents. FOX takes the same tact with a different view - they know THEIR audience will be nothing but even MORE fired up to intensify pressure if they keep reporting it’s all still hanging in the balance. It seems to me that FOX is being realistic which seems to bother some.
Personally, I believe the HC bill will pass. Then the fun begins. And I am seeing posts from those that believe dems are not worried about the Nov. elections due to the possibility that 0 will create a national security issue to either declare martial law or somehow suspend the elections.

Fox may just be pushing for a Pelosi “victory” on this bill, and even go so far as to be a backstop for resisting efforts to overturn this outcome by judicial means. The long objective is to allow the Democrats to go a bridge too far, or three, or fifteen, then have no means of retreat later on, as the election approaches.
