Environmentalists Are Killing Environmentalism
Canada Free Press ^ | 3/20/2010 | Dr. Tim Ball

Aesop (620-564 BC) the Greek writer famous for his fables told of the boy who falsely cried wolf. -snip -snip

IPCC Reports led distinguished oceanographer Dr. Robert Stephenson of the U.S. Office of Naval Research and NASA to say, “Even when exposed, the IPCC leaders claimed it was their “right” to change scientific conclusions so that political leaders could better understand the report.”

John Bennett, executive director of the Sierra Club of Canada, made the same argument, saying: “Mann and his colleagues were simply speaking in their own high-level code, and a number of things were taken out of context.

His remarks underscore lack of understanding of climate science, the serious limitations of the IPCC Reports and what the emails actually disclose. It is not surprising because on March 10 UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon said, “Let me be clear: the threat posed by climate change is real. Nothing that has been alleged or revealed in the media recently alters the fundamental scientific consensus on climate change. -snip

Climate scientists at the CRU used the IPCC, a political vehicle established by the UN, to provide the false scientific basis for all energy and environmental policies. They created what Essex and McKitrick called the Doctrine of Certainty in their book Taken by Storm. They define this as, “The basic not-to-be-questioned assertions of the Doctrine are:

1. The Earth is warming. 2. Warming has already been observed. 3. Humans are causing it. 4. All but a handful of scientists on the fringe believe it. 5. Warming is bad. 6. Action is required immediately. 7. Any action is better than none. 8. Claims of uncertainty only cover the ulterior motives of individuals aiming to stop needed action. 9. Those who defend uncertainty are bad people.

So they are saying:
Those english words that sounded like we were covering up data and altering reports to suit our needs were not actually that at all! We were speaking in ‘genius code’ and unless you are a true, authentic genius climatologist and have taken the super secret handshake initiation into the Super Genius Club, you couldn’t possibly understand the english words “hide the decline” or any of the other genius code speak. You ninnies!

It has affected my behavior and purchase decisions.

I avoid purchase of products or doing business with companies that overly market their claims about “environmentally friendly” or having “gone Green”.

I’m disgusted with the exaggeration, lies, exploitation and political BS associated with the “environmental movement”.

They are not environmentalists. They are collectivists and would-be dictators. Their goal is socialistic world government led by a technochratic elite of which they would be the vanguard.

Yes absolutely and it's fairly easy to prove. If you were to go to a meeting of so called environmentalists and mingle you would fine about 95% on the left of the political spectrum. I'd guess that half of those are on the far left. I'm at the point where I don't know what an environmentalist is. What's the definition of an environmentalist? It's NOT the same as a traditional conservationists. In today's world, an environmentalist is anyone who says they are an environmentalist.

I wish there were an organization of true or real environmentalists. Maybe some of early environmentalists were true but it looks like these groups are taken over by leftists.

“Environmentalism” is all about control. It is about big government intrusion and using force through regulation to control private natural resource use - supposedly for the collective benefit of the community and future generations. Environmentalism progresses to the socialization of all private property. As private property is the fruit of the labor of our bodies, it progresses into our enslavement for the benefit of the collective. Ask any farmer in California how much of his profit now goes to setting aside land and water (in which he has a private property right,) for some critter's habitat; paying for expensive special pest control methods, controlling fugitive dust, diesel retrofits and the like.

Environmentalism is not only saying that you cannot do something on your property because it is harmful to the general public or some critter. It is also saying you must use your private property at your expense to benefit the public or some critter. More government equals less freedom. More regulation equals less freedom.
