In episode one you could see where Hanks had input into the filming. The Marines had a Japanese soldier caught in a cross fire and took their time taking him out.

I noticed that they did not do a close up of Marines that had been captured by the Japanese and were tied to trees and tortured to death.

In any case I will watch it tonight to remember what suffering those men went through to defend us.

Bless you. They truly were the Greatest Generation, weren’t they?

I so enjoyed visiting the National WW2 museum in New Orleans. Spent the whole day there recently - I even enjoyed Beyond all Boundaries” - the movie that Hanks and Spielberg were responsible for that IIRC.
