That's the problem I have with the RC hierarchy..they don't stand with conviction behind their beliefs - or every last one of these people would be ex-communicated.

And where was the Pope on all of this? < /crickets>

The Pope said he would stand with the US Bishops' opinion. He did not, unfortunately, make a direct statement.

Problem is...if it wasn't for the abortion thing, the Catholic Church would likely endorse this socialist bill 100%.
