“Mr. Speaker, this bill the mother of all unfunded mandates”...
On states, and communities, on doctors, and most of all on working people who pay for their own insurance. Everyone who works will have to pony up a huge percentage of their income to pay for it.
I have asked before - but not gotten a reply:
On this ‘insurance companies will be required to insure those with a pre-existing condition’ part of the bill.....
Does anyone know if there will be a restriction on what the insurance companies will CHARGE those with pre-existing conditions?
I have a sneaking suspicion that those with pre-existing conditions will be required (by insurance companies) to pay through the nose, like $10,000 a month or more!
And, they can say “We are REQUIRED by the government to insure EVERYBODY - but nothing is on the books telling us what we can or can’t charge them!”
(I ask, because my son cannot get insurance, because of pre-existing back problems.)
