Academic question: why is it that when the reps have a decent majority, they never try to pull crap like this but always try the “statesmanly” approach.
I will support ANY candidate who says he/she will go to the Hill and ram EVERYTHING through that will preserve the American peoples’ freedom...

I wish I had the answer for that, matginzac. Maybe because we're the party of adults while the Dems are the party of surly teenagers in a state of arrested development?

I have to say that the Repubs on the rules committee were excellent, though. (and I am by no means a GOP party cheerleader!) They were prepared, professional and persistent. The Dems on the other hands were childish, peevish and ill prepared.

The hearing with the Dems in charge was nothing but a farce, though. It showed just how corrupt and twisted the process really is.
