They May Have Run Out Of Money, But CA Hasn't Run Out Of Things To Regulate
On Thursday, the California Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board voted to set up a committee to examine whether condoms should be required on all pornographic film shoots within the Golden State. California has run out of money, but it hasnt yet run out of things to regulate.
For a government regulatory hearing, the testimony was livelier than usual. The porn star Madelyne Hernandez recalled an especially grueling scene in which she had been obliged to have sex with 75 men. The bureaucrats nodded thoughtfully, no doubt contemplating another languorous 18-month committee assignment looking into capping the number of group-sex participants at 60 per scene. In future, if a porn actress finds 75 men waiting for her on the set, theyll be bureaucrats from Sacramentos Condom Enforcement Squad.

So California drives another industry out of the state. I wonder where all the San Fernando Valley porn companies will go now. Vegas probably. I hear the real estate there is pretty reasonable nowadays.

The unfunded liabilities of current entitlements are $100 trillion. Try typing that onto your pocket calculator. You cant. 1E14

Just finished article. Every Steyn gets a few requisite “best Steyn yet” accolades. This one deserves them.

At this rate, if Madelyne Hernandez works weekends, she will raise Obama’s “jobs created or saved” numbers by 27375 jobs per year, and amount that will the 16500 jobs created by ObamaCare by 167 percent.

The visit had already been pared back to the bare minimum a quick refueling stop in Canberra, with a speech to Parliament and a gripngreet with the Governor-General and the Prime Minister. Maybe the Administration could simply deem the visit to have occurred, photoshop a souvenir snapshot and stick it in the mail to their eminences.ROFLMAO!!! This is not a comedic subject, but Steyn's razor sharp sarcasm is spectacular. This article is full of such sardonic barbs.

This is a joke, right? No. Our Marxist California government is indeed "studying" the oh-so-critical issue of whether or not porn actors should be required to wear condoms. I live in this nutty state, so I can confirm it is not a joke.

If it were not so pathetically sad, it would be comical. Not just the fact of the “regulatory” aspect... but the idea that we have sunk so low that such things may be discussed openly before a state legislative body without even a hint of shame. THAT IS WHY WE ARE WE’RE WE ARE AT.

And, when you walk into the Health Care Enforcement Division of the IRS the staffing levels will make Madelyne Hernandezs group sex scene look like an Equity-minimum one-man play off-off-off-Broadway. However, what will happen to you will be pretty much the same thing that happened to Ms. Hernandez.
