I really believe that it needs to be stressed that Cao may very well be voting the will of his district. It is a district with a very high number of democrats and minorities. This forum has been broiling politicians for not listening to the voters, then turn around and curse when they do listen to the voters.

"Obamacare is one thing, but don't smear a man and his father by calling them Vietcong."

Seems that most don't care ... it is a race around the forum from thread to thread leaving little comments. Facts and common courtesy be damned.

A payoff? From Obama? (1) Obama won’t deliver anything. On Monday, you’ll be dead to him. (2) Cao can get much more from Republicans, particularly from Jindal.

Cantor insists that Cao is a NO. Last spoke with him 4pm EST

This is why we can not believe anything coming out of DC .......A few days ago I read where this Cao said he voted yes first go round but would vote NO this time. Now comes a thread where he will vote yes.

If there is a vote Sunday and I say If, (because you can't believe one thing anyone in DC is saying)............then we will know who voted yes or no.

If the witch doesn't have a win nailed down there will not be a vote Sunday.

Hope you’re right. In addition to the vote count, we need to remove any smidgen of “bi-partisan” off this travesty.

Rally your local talk radio host into doing street protest in front of your reps local offices. Try and get the local media to cover it. Hammer the Medicare/SS issue, nothing like mad grannies and gramps.

This is from a 2007 contact list of congressional aides. Some might not be there any longer, but worth a try. The ones on the one post are senate aides, a few have bounced back, it’s worth the effort to clog up their email system along with the phones, and 1/3rd of these senators are up for re-election.

Mail must be inspected for anthrax.

Contact congressional aides.

Remember they are all being offered BRIBES for their votes. Ask them how much their bribe price is.
The National Republican Congressional Committee has published a target list on health care. In addition to continuing to contact the five Tennessee Democrat Congressmen, you can go http://www.votervoice.net/link/clickthrough/ext/94697.aspx to contact some of these targets. Much of the talk following Obama’s announcement has focused on how to defeat this second bill through reconciliation, but that is misleading because the first step to defeating Obamacare is not by concentrating on defeating the “fixer” bill but by defeating the Senate bill in the House when it goes to the floor for an up-or-down vote on Thursday, March 18th.

should House Speaker Nancy Pelosi guarantee, “with certainty,” that she can fix its abortion language in a separate, later legislative measure.

The best way to force her to fix the abortion language is to force her to fix the abortion language.

Of course, to do that you're going to have to vote no until she does.

Now, to me, thats not good enough because the whole thing is unconstitutional, and in any case they would just bring abortion back in through the back door anyway. There isn't any chance in this world that Obama and Pelosi are going to build a "universal" health care system that doesn't pay for abortions.

They are dedicated to abortion. They are going to have it at all costs. So Cao is caving while pretending not to cave, on health care and on abortion too. When they bring abortion in, he'll tell himself he was snookered. But he only snookered himself.

You are certainly free to question my courage, especially using a keyboard. However, a politician who, under pressure, sells out his country is unquestionably a coward. I hope Cao proves himself a worthy and courageous son. We will find out on Sunday.
