the House Ways and Means Committee estimates that 16,500 IRS agents will need to be hired to meet the expanded authority granted the IRS.

I don't know what these agents would make, I'll just throw out $80K. That's $1,320,000,000, or $1.3 Billion. Not counting all the FedGov bennies.

I wokred for the IRS as a GS-7 they don't make 80k and I can tell you watch "The Office" is being kind to the kind of bufoonery that goes on there. I worked there 6 momnths and left, it was an awful working environment. The 15k new employees will be full of lots of Shanequas and Lemongellos, by definition morons. Unions have a great way of destroying anything they touch. The United Steelworkers Union used to be one of the most powerful unions around, they were SEIU on steroids, now I heard they have one floor in an office building and are a joke of their former self, with no power, no clout and no members. These schemes always fail, ALWAYS, immutable law of nature. We just have to outlast them ad we have a running start, the government is broke and the whole ugly b*tch is coming down.

PT&B (payroll taxes and benefits) were 150% of base pay when I was a manager way back when. And that did not include cost of cubicle space. So re-caculate.
