Have you used the metro system? If you’re coming from Florida up thru Williamsburg, VA, where would you go to ride the metro in?

Somebody who lives in NoVa will be able to tell you. But there are metro stops at major malls with ample free parking.

Get off 95 at the Franconia/Springfield exit (I believe it’s #169) and follow the signs. Parking at the Metro is free on weekends.

Hi Everett,

I think you can catch a train in Fredericksburg. There is one from Wmsbg, too, IIRC.

I think both the Fburg commuter train and Wmsbg Amtrak take you to Union Station. Metro Station is in the terminal. Can’t recall which color line you take, but the maps are good. Check out Amtrak’s site as well as WMATA [Wash. Metro Area Transit Authority] The latter has all the metro info.

Ping me if you’ve any other questions. And Kudos for making a long trip to express you dissatisfaction with this toilet paper called a bill.
