A TEENAGER who attacked a TV star in the street then went on to murder a man will spend more than 12 years in jail.
Now aged 18, he claims he remembers little or nothing of the Sydney attacks because he was high on drugs and alcohol.
He cannot be named because he was a juvenile at the time of the offences.
The teen was involved in three bashings on June 13 and 14, 2008, including the violent robbery of actress Virginia Gay.
Best known for her role in television drama All Saints, Gay suffered head injuries after being attacked by the teen as she walked along Illawarra Road at Marrickville.

Attacked ... Virginia Gay.
This teenage mugger and killer deserved what he got - prison.
Unfortunately, he was under 18 at the time of the crimes so he is ineligible for a life sentence. Australia no longer has the death penalty.
He deserves to be strung up, lynch mob styles.
Unfortunately, we’re no longer in the 19th Century nor New South Wales is Texas.
So he’ll be let out some day to do it al again?
More or less likely he would be a recidivist (i.e. a repeat offender).
But drug users “just want to sit on the back porch and not bother nobody”. /Libertarian mode off
Not all drug users are that way.
Must’ve been the alcohol then.
