Actually you're advice is close to being good.
My 50 years of genealogy research is computerized now and copies are on zip drives, in my fire safe.
Assuming my ancestors a hundred years from now have climbed out of the dark ages we're imposing on them, them may be able to reinvent computers to read the data.
