Could be. However, I watched about fifteen minutes and couldn't take any more. Found the movie to be amateurish, had a 50’s look about it. It moved at a much too slow pace with way too much filler (useless chit chat about nothing). Anyway, it was dull, dull, dull and poorly done. Obviously, riding the tails of Band of Brothers with hopes of picking up some quick money.
I haven’t seen any episodes of The Pacific since I won’t/don’t subscribe to HBO. I bought the BoB book and then watched the series on HBO when it first came out and then immediately unsubscribed. Have the boxed set. Watch it often.
As for The Pacific, I think I’ll wait and see what other FReepers have to say about it. Thanks for your observation, I’ll make note of it.
I probably should give Band of Brothers a chance being as though somebody just told me that it was pretty accurate and based on the soldiers personal accounts.
I just have to wonder why two of Hollywood's biggest libs would make a series about WWII. I am suspicious and don't necessarily feel like they have the best intentions.
Spielberg’s dad is a WW2 vet.
Spielberg is a close friend of Hussein who is going to screw baby boomers and seniors like you have never seen before. He is scum like Hanks. They support a man who calls people who disagree with his “racists.”
That has nothing to do with the your assertion that he was ‘exploiting WW2 vets’. In any case you obviously can’t see what he does objectively so what’s the point...
BoB is worth the time investment. It is inspiring!
Spielberg and Hanks are exploiting WW2 vets. The same way Spielberg exploited kids with fairly violent films that should have received an R rating.
Are you talking about Gremlins (produced but not directed by Spielberg)? That was the reason for the PG-13 rating (which he initiated).
OK. I’ll take your word for it and give a chance!
