Republican gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman has declined an invitation from The Sacramento Bee editorial board and FOX 40 to participate in a debate with GOP rival Steve Poizner.

I gotta admit, I wouldn’t debate either if I were holding her position in the polls and campaign-budgets.
Sure, debating practice will be handy for the general election season, but she can get that practice in private “murder boards” without risking a gaffe debating Poizner.

That’s because she’s WAYYYY ahead of any potential rival.
OT: When is the Rubio and Crist debate on Fox going to occur?
If she is to scared to debate she sure is to weak to lead.

Poizner donated thousands to Al Gore. (NOT that I am saying, “so you should support Whitman instead.” I actually think Poizer is a little less leftist. He’s endorsed by Tom McClintock, who surely must know that Whitman is likely to trounce Poizner.)
