The new tactic is the “safer” seats (heavy Dem districts) have Nancy’s blessing to vote yes and those in not so safe districts get to vote no.
But there will be “bubble” Dems who will have to fall on the sword for the greater good of the party. Those bubble delegates have not been determined yet but will be known by Sunday. The bill will pass by ONE vote...that one vote will be given an ambassadorship provided they survive the tar and feathering.
I’m sure they have enough votes to pass this monstrosity of legislation. Media reports that they’re short of votes are lies deliberately leaked by the Dem leadership in an attempt to keep the American people quiet and preserve their yes votes for the final vote. I’m afraid this disaster is going to pass and the only way to ultimately stop it is for the GOP to take control of the House in November and then repeal the whole thing.
From what I just read, this bill contains tax increases on investment income earned by upper income people to pay for medicare. Those taxes, along with the end of the Bush tax cuts, are going to push the total marginal tax rate on investment income up over 50% for high income people in many states. That’s a disastrous idea for America. Who does Pelosi think are the risk-taking investors who build the new companies that have created all the news jobs in American since 1981? It’s not the gangbangers, union slobs, and government bureaucrats who invest in new companies and build our economy. It’s the high income entrepreneurs and investors who create economic growth. Pelosi, Reid, and Zero know zilch about economics and free enterprise. They are socialists who only know how to screw over productive people, steal their income and wealth, and redistribute it to unproductive slobs who never worked in school, never built up their skills & knowledge, and can’t get good jobs now.
We must take control of the House in 2010 and repeal this monstrosity and the associated tax increases and income redistribution schemes, and send idiotic Nancy back to SF to be just another dumb democrat congresscritter.
