Have to disagree, they are honest about cutting Medicare. Always have been, just lied about the reasons.
The reason to cut Medicare is because that money can be transferred to the private health insurance industry to subsidize policies for under 65’s.
The Republican leadership never pushed the obvious because, frankly, grabbing money from the public till and giving it to large public entities sounds like good policies. They would call it conservative.
I disagree back, there will never, ever, ever be the political will on Capitol Hill, on the part of Dems, to cut this massive amount of money from Medicare, I don’t believe a word of it.
