Thank you very much for your prayers and concern. Hope I didn’t miss anyone.
Evelyn was transported to Spokane by Heli-Vac, along with her husband. Because she is on Medicaid, as I understand it, she had to check in at the local hospital first so the flight could be authorized. My wife was worried, naturally, because this was using up valuable time. The hospital staff put Evelyn under before she was loaded onto the helicopter.
After arriving at Sacred Heart hospital, cardiology staff did succeed in stabilizing her heartbeat using the first method they tried. It sounds as though she is doing fine now but will be kept as an inpatient for a few days.
It is an interesting situation with her children — three went with a friend and the baby came here. My wife is real good with infants and in fact the baby always seems to “select” her.
Evelyn’s husband accompanied her on the flight but as is typical for them they are 150 miles away with no money or very little. Still some logistics to be worked out for them.
