I saw bread for more than $3 a loaf. I don’t think I’ve ever seen regular sandwich bread at that price before.

Oh darn, I can’t remember where in the Bible, “ a loaf of bread for a days’ wages”.

At Meijer (again) you can get some goooood sandwich bread for $3.00. Supposedly good, anyway.

I prefer the $1.19 house brand personally.

My wife got some tolerable sandwich bread at Sav-A-Lot for $.99 last week. I've asked her not to do that again unless the Meijer stuff will bust the budget. 20 cents is worth the better (IMHO) flavor and texture.
