Baiocchi said Hispanics should not worry about filling out the form if they are an illegal immigrant. The census does not ask about a person's immigration status and is only interested in counting residents.
"All we do is count people, we do not count citizenship, Baiocchi explained

.....not so, the government needs to know how many illegals are here since they don’t know....spread the word! *walking away whistling*
I always assumed the census was supposed to count just citizens. After all, it was to be used to determine seats in the House of Reps.
I’ve seen old census records from 150 years ago. Those census questions wanted name, age, race, profession, birthplace, and relationship to others in the household.

I don’t understand it either, except that the States probably want to be sure they aren’t shortchanged on pork, welfare, Medicaid, Food Stamps, etc. block grants from the Federal government.
So millions of non-citizens get representation in the House.
Its obvious....the counting of illegals also increases the population for redistricting.
The pork is important but this is akin to counting slaves: why do you think they were only to count as 3/5 a person? Hint: it wasn’t racism.....
so if you are a citizen they can ask you every intimate detail imaginable about your life, but they don’t ask illegal immigrants if they are here illegally.

Isn’t there a clause about not counting Indians on reservations? If so, then it certainly is about citizens only.
No the census always counted persons not citizens. That’s why there was a compromise over slaves counting them as 3/5 person. That said we want illegals counted only if they reside in a conservative area. If they’re in Dim areas like cities, the fewer counted the better.

The message is, “the gummint doesn’t care if you are illegal or not.” So the illegal alien gets the message, “Now I can vote, too.” And guess what, THEY CAN. THere is NO MECHANISM that can stop them. So we really don’t need “immigration reform”. Zero has accomplished it from the White House. End of the United States. So long, farewell, Auf wiedersehen, goodbye.
How about we count them as they cross the border on the way back to their OWN damn country?
I assume if the illegals can be counted, they can also be deported?
thats if they fill out all of the census....and write in “illegal”
LOL, you must be a hermit. Haven’t you heard all the radio ads lately about the census? Its about getting your fair share from the govt. trough. Hey, there’s something for everyone not just citizens...illegals should have their place at the trough too.
Our country is in serious decline.
I agree. Count em and arrest em!
Of course, count the illegals. That way, CA, AZ, NM and other sanctuary states get more seats in Congress and elect more LIBs. And they can keep sticking it to us.
Observation: The same conditions, where one faction tries to impose its will on the other, that existed in 1860 are back again. The more things change, .....
Yep. Mass exodus.
