They should be free to do adoption placement as long as they recieve no government aid. As soon as they take government aid then they are behlolden to Caesar.

If a woman wants to follow her faith or is choosey on where her kid may end up, the young woman deserves the choice.

This isn't an issue of "govt. aid". Both places have passed laws that effectively say that you cannot treat heterosexual and homosexual couples differently. In the eyes of the law, they are the same.

There is no "religious exemption" for the Catholic Charities. If they will not agree to give a child to a homosexual couple, then they are not in compliance with the law, and legal action would ensue.

The Catholic Diocese in these locales have decided to forego adoption services rather than place an innocent child with a homosexual couple. The young woman should have the right to choose; but, she does not. Political Correctness tops all other considerations.
