Refused to answer race or hispanic questions. Just put down who lives here and age. Census bureau will be looking for me now.

How come if you apply for a job in the private sector, they don't ask for race and all gov. applications you have to state your race?

Guys, I have been doing geneology for quite a while and other than the first one or two, the census has always asked race.

These are the standard questions up until the last census available, 1930.

Name, age, race, relationship to head of household, state of birth, state of father’s birth, state of mother’s birth.

You filled out more than I plan to. Just filling out #1 and #2 - two cockamamie versions of the same question. I may write the section of the US Constitution refering to the census as a count for representation apportionment across the rest of the form, but these are the only answers they're getting. Come and get me.

Other than that, I plan to mail it on or after April 1 since the questions refer to that point in time. Don't want to be accused of making a false statement in case a family member or friend suddenly needs housing on March 31.
