1. Courts are going to uphold it?
2. Future executives (i.e. Presidents) are going to feel obliged to enforce it?
OK, they are sort of stupid questions since we are obviously dealing with Dems but these are points that we should start bringing out.
It doesn’t matter if the courts will uphold it or the future leaders will support it. This thing has blown up in their faces. Pelosi rolled the dice. She lost. Obama is breathing down her neck. She needs a way out. NOW!!! If they don’t pass anything, they have to admit failure. They won’t do that!!! So, they are going to pass a radical overhaul with an unconstitutional rule. They win.
So they cause a Constitutional crisis? So what? They passed healthcare.
Future Congress overturns it? Big deal! The hateful Republicans want children to die. But we passed it!
SCOTUS overturns it? BUSH’S FAULT!!!! But who cares? We passed it!!!
Comrade Pelosi is looking for an exit that saves as much of her stretched face as she can. If she shreds the Constitution while she does that, she doesn’t care.
