No, you misunderstand. This is how Specter will rejoin the Republican party. He will rail against the corrupt Democrat party and leave for the Republicans in disgust.

I’m thinking Specter can blow his democratic opponent out of contention by accusing him of misprision of a felony. Admiral Sestak will have to reveal the details of the bribe offer or be accused of a felony. If he reveals the details, he will look bad for having hidden them. Either way, Specter can eliminate his chief opponent in the primary.

I expect Specter to be all over this. If felonies reach into the White House, the media should have a feeding frenzy much like Watergate. Sen Specter’s name will be featured in the media 24/7. Enough to resurect his political career.
