The Obama administration's calculated decision to escalate its open attacks against Israel over a routine decision by the Jerusalem Planning and Building Board to approve 1,600 housing units in Ramat Shlomo neighborhood presents Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu with an unenviable task. He has to either relinquish Israel's sovereignty over its capital by capitulating in the face of the unprecedented American assault, or he can tell Obama and Clinton and their cohorts to go to hell. It is depressing, and let's face it, a bit scary that the US, which has refused to raise a finger against Iran's nuclear program or any other rogue action by any other US enemy has decided to go after Israel in this fashion. It is depressing, but not surprising.
Anyone who paid the slightest attention to who Barack [short for Barakeh in Arabic] Obama is before he was elected knew full well that this man is an enemy of Israel. He was a member of an ardently anti-Semitic church for more than two decades. His friends ranged from virulently anti-Israel and anti-Jewish like Edward Said, Rashid Khalidi, William Ayres, Jeremiah Wright, Samantha Power and Susan Rice -- among others -- to radically post-Zionist like Arnie Wolf, Rahm Emmanuel and David Axelrod not to mention Joe Biden.
Given his pedigree, no one should have been surprised that Obama has chosen to stir up a crisis in his relations with Israel.
Bibi can tell Obama to stick it where the sun don't shine and rally the Israeli public and Israel's many friends in America to his side and so make it impossible for Obama to carry on doing this with immunity. Or he can lick Obama's boots and set the clock ticking faster towards the destruction of this country.
What's it going to be Bibi? What's it going to be? You knew being Prime Minister would demand something of you. Do you have that something? I think you do, somewhere inside. What is it going to be?
Ante up.
He has my full support to do that. That is already my position.
I hope he does.
FROM GALLUP, 2-24-10
SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL IN U.S. AT 63 PERCENT
by Lydia Saad
PRINCETON, NJ For the first time since 1991, more than 6 in 10 Americans 63% say their sympathies in the Middle East situation lie more with the Israelis than with the Palestinians. Fifteen percent side more with the Palestinians, down slightly from recent years, while a combined 23% favor both sides, favor neither side, or have no opinion.
The 63% sympathizing with Israel today is statistically unchanged from the 58% to 59% seen from 2006 to 2009; however, it is considerably higher than most of the previous readings on this Gallup measure since 1993. The trend includes two 38% readings in 1996 and 1997.

One danger to Israel, perhaps the greatest one, is that the Arab League dream of eliminating Israel from the ME equation might be shared with the current US administration....ie, in a conflict with Iran, both Shiite Iran/Syria and Israel itself are fatally sidelined by the conflict...Iran taking out Israel in the process, much to our “chagrin” after the fact of “our ally” having been grievously damaged in the conflict. Bathshebas’ husband being sent to the center of conflict with the intent that he not come back comes to mind. Is Israel being set up?
Option 1: Yeah Bibi can do that. But how effective is Bibi going to be at rallying Israel's friends in America? Israel's friends in America are sitting slack jawed at the stupidity of Obama, but can't seem to find a suitable way of getting Obama out of office. Are pro-Israeli parties going to be stronger than the tea parties? Israel has a lot of friends in America, but I just don't see Israel being the successful rally point against Obama right now.
Option 2: Bibi doesn't have to kiss Obama's boots to avoid making this a public relations war. Until something is done about Iran, Israel is on a course towards destruction. But I don't see a public relations war with Obama helping. I don't see kissing Obama's boots, speeding things up either. Israel can run out the clock with Obama and the palestinian so-called peace process, but can Israel run out the clock with Iran?
Option 3 - This is the real question. What happens if Israel strikes Iran? Without Obama's support, will they be completely isolated in the world? What would Obama do in that case. Would Obama throw his support to the Muslims even though it could mean his impeaxchment? Or would he throw make a public display of supporing Israel while obsfucating real support and privately helping the Muslims? And if the latter can Israel survive until Obama is out of office?
I didn't see this Gallup but it makes perfect sense. Zero's fanaticism, if we can survive it will prove to be our best ally.
Just think. The Jews in Fl and NY voted for this guy.
Maybe it’s time for Bibi air out that Mossad file on his desk, the one that says “Obama” on the cover.
Now THAT’s a file I’d like to see! Of course, it would be censored by every media outlet in the US including Bill O’Reilly.
If youd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.
..................
And just think - the Jews in mASSachusetts, NY and FL are STILL violently and vigorously supporting him!
Enough with the ‘It’s all the JOOOOS fault’ crap.
You sound just like Obama with it.
Bibi already anted up and called the Obama/Clinton raise. It’s time to go all in and see if they have the balls to call.
Obama clearly doesn’t. Hillary does but her donors may chill her anti-Zionist fervor.
I am sure Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has the goods/truth about Obama...where he was born, etc.
Go public with them, Mr. Prime Minister. And it has to be now before it is too late for all of us.
I wish they had made THAT file public in 2008.
This is a manufactured crisis.
Manufactured for the express purpose of creating the opportunity to stick it to Israel and twist their arm, the Emanuel Doctrine.
PM Netanyahu has reacted perfectly, refusing to let himself be caught up in this fake event.
I predict that even with the Israeli leftist press jumping on Netanyahu, his popularity will remain unscathed and Obambi’s will drop even further (is that even possible at 4%?) in Israel. Further, the 20% + of swayable US Jews who voted for Obambi, will switch sides.
A win win for Bibi. Obambi stepped in it once again.
Very true. Obama’s fanaticism is our best ally.
