The report about Blanning reads oddly. A kook left time bombs in four places to perform “bank robberies” and then he killed himself shortly afterward? Doesn’t one have to be personally present to rob a bank? How does a time bomb serve as a robbery weapon? Sounds more like he was bent on destroying some bank buildings, but the story (even from the horse’s mouth) does not tell enough.
Yes, sounds like he was more into killing people than actually robbing banks.
Had a similar thing in Oregon last year. A father son team (Joshua & Bruce Turnidge) called a false bomb report in to one bank and then another one that was the real thing to another bank. The bomb went off killing two LEOs and severly injuring another. They’ll be going on trial this year.
