JERUSALEM - The U.S. is pressing Israel to scrap a contentious east Jerusalem building project whose approval has touched off the most serious diplomatic feud with Washington in years, American and Israeli officials said Monday.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, however, gave no indication he intended to cancel construction of the 1,600 housing units, despite condemnation from a string of U.S. officials. Netanyahu offered a defense of his country's building in the city's eastern sector, which the Palestinians want as their future capital, and noted that Israel has been building there for more than 40 years.

What a fair hand Obama has. This demand and public dress down of Israel reminds me exactly of the public criticism Obama launched at Lebanon and Syria for letting Hezbollah re-occupy the border regions along with their missiles. Oh wait.....nevermind

If my memory does not fail me, didn't Obama apologize (to anyone and everyone that would listen)for the US interference in their internal affairs during past administrations, shortly after taking office?
I guess their only reliable ally in the middle east, Israel, is the one exception?
Or does this have to do with once a Muslim always a Muslim?
If one studies “the lines about the creation of Israel” in his infamous Cairo speech, one understands what he is doing now! He may think that we are all stupid...
