They've posted the Reconciliation bill, which by Constitutional requirement, MUST originate in the House. The House is readying to pass this Reconciliation bill which would then "deem" the original Senate bill (H.R. 3590). Once H.R. 3590 passes, it will be sent to the President for his signature.
This reconciliation bill would then need to be passed by the Senate, and then sent to the President.
They are two separate bills H.R. 3590, the original Senate bill and this Reconciliation Bill (HR number yet unknown).
Ok. Dumb this down to my level......if the house passes this bill, it has to go through the Senate first. If the House had passed the bill straight out of the Senate, then it would go straight to the president’s desk. So by posting this bill it’s good news, because there’s still the Senate to get through.
