Even if this plan passes, we need a multi-pronged strategy to cripple and kill socialized health care.
1. Individual resistance. We must be willing to explore all legal vehicles to avoid participation as individuals. Will there be exemptions to participation for special groups such as the Amish and will this provide a loophole? Would creating an organization to disseminate information and protect individuals form prosecution be useful?
2. State efforts. We already have a VA state statute that protects citizens from the mandates. We must continue on with statutes and state constitutional amendments. See the progress at the Tenth amendment center
3. Federal legislation. Although securing victory in November in the House and Senate will be nice, it will only afford us the power to propose but also to investigate the 0bama administration. Investigate we must to weaken this tyrant to oblivion.
4. Courts. Take a page out of the liberal play-book and challenge this legislation form every conceivable approach under the sun. There are preferences for minorities to receive federal contracts and grants. There will be rationing, if any are done on the basis of age or disability we must claim violations of ADA laws. If the process to pass this legislation was unconstitutional (Slaughter rule),this will give rise to an immediate challenge.
5. Publicize. If anyone with Medicare, Medicaid or any other government program is denied care for any reason, complain to your Congressman and Senator and directly blame the government. The Dims and zero now own every problem and every mistake that occurs in the medical system from the time that zero signs this piece of crap into law. Keep them accountable!
6. Presidential race: 2012. All Republican candidates must state unequivocally that they will issue executive orders that cancel the health care law. They should and must do this because the law is simply unconstitutional. Any candidate that refuses does not deserve our support. After 2013, we can probably legislate away the health care law piecemeal. Eliminate mandates, encourage MSAs, allow states to set coverage mandates and allow cross state purchasing, real tort reform etc. By attacking the legislation piecemeal, it will be easier to achieve consensus and the needed votes in congress.
I agree - a sound course of massive resistence now!! There are is only one courses of action left if the 2010 election are tapered with!!!
Very good strategies.
I’m sure that FReepers can think of a few more.
JUST SAY NO! Refuse to comply in any way. Enough do it, it will implode.
