Barack Obama tries to find a scapegoat for his own hubris.
Times Online (London) ^ | 14 March 2010 | Toby Harnden

WHEN Desiree Rogers swept into Washington, she seemed the epitome of Obama cool. Sleek, black and stylish, she made clear that in her job as Social Secretary was not going to be a mere party planner.

snip . . .

Perhaps Mr Obama's biggest political flaw is that he seems to view himself as the personification of virtue and right-thinking. If Americans do not want health care reform, it's because they are too stupid to realise they have been hoodwinked by Republicans.

Good read.

It's not shocking to find out Rogers was an incompetent. We've all worked with the type. Typically they throw around the latest industry jargon, believe their own image crafting and typically they don't actually show many results. And sadly, as we can see by Rogers who is 50 years old and found herself in such a prestigious position, they typically succeed into buzz wording and BSing their way to the top.

Any leader who wishes to be successful does a search fo the best people, the most capable people, because the first thing a good experienced leader learns is that he cannot do it all himself, and good people can carry him through the bad times.

Obama has filled his staff and administration with his buds. Chicago thugs, Communist keaning friends who have glad handed him, Blacks who have taken the ride up with him, and people he is rewarding with big time jobs in his cabinet.

Gates appears to be the only one with experience and he is too busy with his nose on the Obama rectum to do his job.

Summoned by Congress to account for the security lapse the White House - which had come into office promising a new era of transparency - forbade her to attend, citing a constitutional "separation of powers" issue.

Much as it pains me I would have to agree with the WH's decision on that.
What business is it of Congress' to question WH security?

Desiree Rodgers is very competent. She just got carried away with being the White House party coordinator. She planned the parties and dinners very well. The problem was she started attending them instead of supervising them

She’s 20x smarter than 0bama and actually has real world business experience. Private sector experience greater than most of 0bongo’s cabinet members and czars, clods like Cass Sunstein. Her downfall was her vanity, her swanning about at what are 0bama+Michelle’s White House soirees. When she should have been overseeing them

She’s a lovely talented woman who had to serve Her Royal Ugliness The First Wookie and the jug eared Kenyan stooge

I do not believe these were “gate crashers”. I think they were under the radar guests whose story spun out of control.

“Obama Brand”? We knew this innately but it makes my skin crawl to think this is what has become of our POTUS...a brand to be bought. More likely a brand we would blindly follow because it seems cool and hip. She’s just another C student waiting for someone to give her an A.

The core difference between progressives and conservatives is conservatives believe in personal responsibility, progressives don't. Obama is a perfect example of a progressive because he has yet to take responsibility for anything no matter how wrong he is. The closest he comes is to say he hasn't done a good enough job in educating the idiots in America. Of course that's at best a self deception and more likely a straight out lie. The more America learns about Obamacare the more adamant that they want no part of it they become.

Yeah I got the feeling that under Desiree she allowed in many guests who were not on the official Secret Service guest lists. Some who were connected, who just kinda showed up. Gate crashers

Poor Desiree, the innocent who “just got carried away”.

No one who is savvy and falls in with the Obama machine and prattles on about its “brand” being numero uno is remotely innocent.

Pre-Obama, the Clintons also brought many crackpot cronies along with them into the White House. They fell away once reality broke through and their incompetence/greed glared.

Very telling pic in that article. Obama may have hubris, but “Desiree” should have her pic in the dictionary under SMUG. And looking at her face makes me wonder if she’s a smoker like Bambi.

All along, White House aides now confide, Rogers was a show horse rather than a work horse, someone who boosted herself at the expense of the First Couple and viewed the Obamas as a business.

I guess she should have known better.

"What business is it of Congress' to question WH security?"

Question away Congress! Though I loathe this Administration, I still feel its security is something paramount.

If the lady "fashion horse" thinks gate keeping is "E" on her to do list - FIRE her butt, and find out why she held that position in the first place.

From the article:

During that interview, she remarked that "we have the best brand on Earth: the Obama brand", adding: 'Our possibilities are endless'. The "crown jewel" of the brand, the former marketing executive, opined, was the White House - which she compared to Unilever's Dove symbol - and the key to success understanding "what your customers want and need".

Wow. The White House is just part of obama's "brand". Wonder is she was the genius that came up with the greek columns for his dem. nomination speech?
