RUSH: An NBC reporter actually stumbled upon an economic truth. It was an accident. It wasn't intentional, but still the NBC reporter got it right. Andrea Mitchell was talking to the correspondent Rehema Ellis about schools closing in Kansas City and elsewhere because of budget shortfalls, and Andrea Mitchell, NBC News, Washington, said, "This is not just Kansas City. This is the most drastic case we've seen so far, but this is a ripple effect we're seeing from the recession. What is going to happen to the students there and elsewhere across the country?"
ELLIS: It's simple, too, Andrea, you know, we hear a lot of people complain about the excesses of Wall Street here in New York and people getting big bonuses. But when they get those bonuses, that money then is taxed. That tax goes into state coffers. Those states then are able to give money to the schools. When it's not there, guess what? That means the money's not there for the schools and education, so that ripple effect comes down and it's starting to hit a lot of people at home and it's starting to hit our kids in the schools.
RUSH: Now, this infobabe Rehema Ellis is going to be embarrassed when I point out that she's justifying Ronald Reagan trickle-down economics. She's just defined supply-side economics. Well, you know, we hear a lot of people complaining about the excesses of Wall Street here in New York and people getting big bonuses, but when they get those bonuses that money's taxed.

Being as MSNBC/NBC have about 30 thousand or so viewers, it may be a tough request..........
:-)
I can't believe they didn't bleep the cameras. She actually admitted that schools benefit from wall street bonuses. Whoops.
That probably was her last report...Pink slip is probably in her hands...LOL
Anyone remember Rehema from her days on KDKA 2 in PGH?
Andrea Mitchell has now become the poster girl for “Still Stuck on Stupid”, the chosen actress for a “Clueless II”, and the Stand-in, Stunt Double for Nancy Pelosi.
And she’s still a dork.
I remember Andrea Mitchell from her days on WTOP in DC.
Where is the Youtube???
Will Rehema still have a job tomorrow?
She was on the CBS affiliate in Boston from 1985-1993.
Very funny...and very true.
Hahaha, yeah. She is stuck on stupid.
LOL
Better to have trickle down wealth than trickle down poverty.
This is a perfect illustration of the reason the Chinese government now requires all media employees be trained in Marxist ideology. This kind of faux pas will not be tolerated by our progressive media. In fact, the reporter is incorrect. Obama's gang of thugs has made clear that this money belongs to the government prebonus.
No, but I remember E.D. Hill as Edye Tarbox on WPXI wearing spandex in the 80s.
Yep...I remember her and the tarbox!
