So Russia is going to build a plane to compete with a 10 yr old designed plane and within 35 to 45 yrs they will make a 1000...

From what I've been reading, that 10 yr old plane - the F-22 - is the most advanced fighter in the world and it's successor, the F-35, isn't considered as desirable by other nations trying to get their hands on the F-22. I don't know much about this subject but it seems to me that the Russians churning out hundreds of aircraft comparable to the F-22 while we stop making it is not a good thing.

That works out to just a bit over 2 aircraft per month for that time period.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F-35_Lightning_II

A very interesting article.
I think the F-35 is more designed towards modern warfare the old days are gone when you knew the location of the enemy,in a certain area. The computer system on this plane is amazing and as i said Russia is building a outdated jet model. Imagine the jets America will have designed and built 30yrs from now? Russia does not stand a chance ,now the muzzies that is another story
