Yea your right it's pro American, John Wayne type movie...LOL, in fact why don't you go see it again. Maybe I should post the interview with the director, the freaking person who made the movie, tell you what she was doing with it, what message she was sending. But a guy on the internet who has see it with an Iraq war buddy(Yea right) says he saw some Frank Capra interpetation of it. Read the IMPD bio of her.....
Kathryn Bigelow Should know your stuff before running at the mouth.

Oh here is the money quote for some of you who thinks I am trolling our poor hapless poster here
I always want to make films. I think of it as a great opportunity to comment on the world in which we live. Perhaps just because I just came off The Hurt Locker (2008) and I'm thinking of the war and I think it's a deplorable situation. It's a great medium in which to speak about that. This is a war that cannot be won, why are we sending troops over there? Well, the only medium I have, the only opportunity I have, is to use film. There will always be issues I care about.

Overwrought much? I was talking about people on this site who have seen it and are in Iraq. And what’s important is what’s onscreen not what the maker of the film says they intended. But your points about the film are certainly valid.
