US military bases in the world

Glenn is on a roll this morning. He is speaking about bringing all our troops home world wide. Then makes the case for letting the whole world know.
Touch us just once and you will truly see how many people we can kill.

Glad someone said this.....and add to Beck’s new love of the Global Warming hoax....makes you wonder if Beck’s proposal is nothing more than a liberal front. Remember, also, Beck is a Free Trader.....so I really wonder if he is really being “pro-American” in this comment.
I am very anti-Globalist, and ride the Liberal Free Trader Globalists any chance I get, but, we need to keep US troops in some of these areas.
We do not need them in Europe....but we still need forces in the Middle East. Once US troops are pulled from the Mid East, every Islamic Terrorist and Islamic Terrorist State will use this as a “political victory”
The US would be better off to end Free Trade Globalism, and keep the troops in areas that are important to US national security. Also, as long as we continue to ride the Globalist agenda....and refuse to become self-sufficient in resources and goods....we will need the US forces to stop the ongoing and growing piracy problem around the world.
What would all those troops do while here in the states? Wouldn’t it be better to be in or near the country you may have to go to and fight in? What about the logistics, training and communications that are set-up all over the world?
Great and every thirty years, we will have to fight a world war. Balance of Power - someone will fill the void. Either radical Islam or China.
I am not arguing with you, but what in God’s name is the use of being a world SuperPower if we lay down to be kicked by whomever wants to.

Same concept as don’t throw a rock at a hornet’s nest. We should have had an openly stated policy years ago that we would never make a first strike on anyone, but would respond with unimaginable force if provoked.
It is in one respect why I have some admiration of the Russians and the Chinese for that matter. From a military standpoint everyone pretty much thinks that if they mess with them they will be slapped back with overwhelming force.
We ALMOST did that in Afghanistan, but with the job half done we got fixated on Iraq and lost the momentum, making ourselves look like fools in the process.
