I'm not trying to be a grenade thrower here but:

Rush just said he didn't think the Dems would have to wait until November to hear from the people (anyone have the exact quote?). Then he goes right into the national strike in Greece and mentions police officers joining (granted the Greek agenda is opposite). Are we talking a "strike" here? It would make sense because the people paying all the bills are the people who are working. Are we talking the foreign headlines saying "America Strikes!"?

FYI, Press Release (follow the meme). I’m running the names and cases, feel free to join me.

SENATE LEADERSHIP DISCUSS HEALTH INSURANCE INDUSTRY ABUSES

Washington, DC— Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Assistant Senate Majority Leader Dick Durbin, Democratic Conference Vice Chairman Charles Schumer and Democratic Conference Secretary Patty Murray joined Marcelas Owens, an 11 year old from Seattle whose mother passed away after she lost her health insurance when she lost her job, at a press conference this morning. Senate Democrats are working to put an end to insurance industry abuses that have denied coverage to hard working Americans when they get sick and need it the most. While Senate Republicans are focused on procedural tactics and political points, Democrats are on the side of the American people.

“Our fight for health reform is driven by stories like that of Marcelas and his mother Tifanny that too many Nevadans and too many Americans know all too well,” said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. “Opponents of reform would rather focus on process. Our work is about real people like Marcelas and his mother who deserve a better health system.”

Senator Durbin said: “Every day, 70 Americans die prematurely because of a lack of health coverage and 1,040 more are denied coverage, charged a higher rate, or otherwise discriminated against because of a pre-existing condition. The health care status quo may be an option for insurance companies but it is not an option for American families. Now is the time to pass health care reform.”

“The health care debate has been one of the most active in the history of our country, both in Washington and back in our home states,” said Senator Schumer. “It is time for an up-or-down vote on our proposal, which will preserve Medicare and keep costs down for those on private insurance.”

Senator Murray said: “This debate isn’t about procedures or filibusters, it’s about people like Marcelas Owens and his mom. The truth is that Marcelas’ story can happen to anyone and we have got to move forward and provide options to those, who through no fault of their own, find themselves without any. And I am going to continue to work to make sure no other child loses his mom because our health care system is broken.”

“My mom was a fighter,” said Marcelas Owens. “She told me to never give up and always keep fighting. But, when she got so sick she couldn’t work and lost her health insurance, she didn’t get the treatment she needed to battle her disease. Now that she’s gone, I want to continue her fight until everyone has health care.

Senator Lindsey Graham, ever the faithful follower of uber-RINO John McCain, scored three RINO initiatives in just one week.

Good luck

Most Americans are so far underwater due to the economy they can’t afford to strike.

I’m hoping that enough people wake up to this blatant manipulation. They can’t continue to be dumb enough to let these emotionally laden anecdotes substitute for intelligent fact-based objective discussion. Someone please tell me that they can’t!

On this Prius thing that Rush is talking about. One of the things that I heard last week was that the government was proposing a new requirement that ALL new vehicles sold in the US have some sort of "electronic over-ride" on them to prevent these "problems." Can you believe it? In the height of what is all going on now, these cretins want to talk about MORE REGULATIONS??? Is there no end to this insanity?

"It's going to pass."

Well.. fewer votes are needed as members of Congress.. uh drop out of Congress.

My despicable bogus headline

Pelosi expects more Congressmen will "drop out"
Dem Leaders Seek Polonium 210
Some congressmen urged to carry alpha radiation detectors

Washington, D.C. We are dealing with the Rat Party of 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus/street rabble and their ideological issue, say Obama health care opponents. They will do anything to "Bring it all down, man." . . . .

Wait it gets better. The health plans rank 88th for profitability, behind such profit generators as Specialty Eateries - Source Yahoo Finance.

Re: a National Stike day

"Most Americans are so far underwater due to the economy they can’t afford to strike."

Look at the following thread and others like it that can be seen by keyword=chamber.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2270625/posts

The US Chamber of Commerce is waging battle against Obama. Small business employs millions; mostly non-union. Why can't the Chamber or similar group lead an "America Strikes!" nationwide strike day? There would not need to be illegal activities. Each business could come to an individual accomodation with it's employees regarding absence, payment/vacation/nonpayment day etc. Retirees, the unemployed, and stay-at-home caregivers (on behalf of their children) could join in the protest marches. In fact, if college students looked at what they already owe the government, they would probably join in. I'm sure the Tea Party movement would lend it's support.

One problem with using the word “Strike” when speaking of Americans is that there are many of us who’ve got a completely different definition for the word.

I’m not surprised that Harry Reid is impressed with a child, yet considers us his enemy.

Yep, the 11 year old kid “doesn’t want any other kid to face the pain that he has faced.”

Hey kid, everyone’s mom will die eventually.
