BUENA, N.J. (AP) -- A spokesman for a group of nuclear power plants in New Jersey says a U.S. man charged in Yemen with being a member of al-Qaida had previously worked at the plants.
PSEG Nuclear spokesman Joe Delmar says Sharif Mobley worked as a laborer for several contractors at its three plants on Artificial Island in Lower Alloways Creek from 2002 to 2008 carrying supplies and doing maintenance work.
Delmar says he satisfied federal background checks as recently as 2008.

We should not be alarmed this is the new norm in washington
Actually, we should be, because he knows the nuke plant inside out, and can aid terrorists with valuable info for an armed assault and bomb attack on a nuke plant.
Diversity is our strength!
Hey Abdul, got any spare uranium?
OOOHHHHHUUUUAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!
But we should feel good about other great protective measures, such as the TSA... /s
[he satisfied federal background checks as recently as 2008.]
- and Obama never has.....
Just shows how infiltrated we are.
.
Obama has encouraged the affirmitive recruitment and hiring of Muslims since he invaded the White House
Funny. When I worked in nukes, the guards were there to keep you inside if there was a scram. Hope they’ve smartened a tad in the last couple decades.
I know that well, lol.
[Hope theyve smartened a tad in the last couple decades.[
Well - they would have - had Obama not become President, lol.
Scary place to have terror suspects working, just like the airlines, food supply, and EVERYTHING!
"It's not G bless America it's G d America."
"My muslim faith."
This place is the second largest nuclear site in the country.
Certainly not the only site that might be prone to those that would seek to sabotage it or worse.
I spent a few hours going thru and hanging around security folks at nuke plants too.
Never met a sleeping guard,, and rarely an unarmed one..
but that’s been a few years and many more.. ;-)
When even the U.S. Army can’t do a reasonable threat assessment on an officer on record as saying and doing the things that the Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan did, why would we expect better from a casual background check by a civilian employer?
It is going to take another 9/11 event before we throw this PC nonsense overboard, if then. I am not at all happy to be making this prediction.
“We should not be alarmed this is the new norm in washington”
Funny you should say that. While alarmed; I am not surprised anymore—considering they’ve infiltrated our military and we have a commander in chief that’s sympathetic to Islam.
Just another SOA.
But was this one a Democrat?
Obama Transition Committee again?
Secret Czar? Helper of Holder?
A guy called in to the Michael Savage show the other night. This guy had served time for forging documents , not sure if that is exactly what he said. Anyhow, he said you can come up with a new identity in background in about 2 wks. Social Security workers will take money to provide numbers so will others such as DMV employees take bribes to give an id.
This nuke plant worker could have bought his background check.
We aren’t safe from terrorists.
Oh yes, the guards at the plants are excellent. No question there. I just hope nowadays they’re focusing on the correct targets.
